The Claude & Margaret Pike Woodlands Trust’s Heathercombe Estate is open to the public in daytime throughout the year. However those intending to visit must notify in advance either Duncan Holden at South Heathercombe (phone: 01647-221350) or John Pike (email: gardens@pike.me.uk; phone: 07768-851492). Access will be restricted if necessary to avoid conflict with estate work, prevent the spread of disease, protect vulnerable wildlife or habitats or minimise risks associated with strong winds. Visitors must abide by the Countryside Code, keeping dogs on leads. Camping and fires/BBQs are strictly forbidden.
The Gardens on the estate are open on designated Open Days (see accompanying post) when a charge is made on behalf of the National Garden Scheme and Rowcroft Hospice of £6 per adult.The Gardens are also open by arrangement (notifying as above) between March and October when a charge is made on behalf of those charities of £5 per adult.
