The Claude & Margaret Pike Woodlands Trust’s Heathercombe Estate is open to the public throughout the year. However those intending to visit must notify either Duncan Holden at South Heathercombe (phone: 01647-221350) or John Pike (email: gardens@pike.me.uk; phone: 07768-851492). Access will be restricted if necessary to avoid conflict with estate work, prevent the spread of disease, protect vulnerable wildlife or minimise risks associated with strong winds. The Gardens on the estate are open on designated Open Days (see accompanying post) when a charge is made on behalf of the National Garden Scheme and Rowcroft Hospice of £6 per adult.The Gardens are also open by arrangement (notifying as above) between April and November when a charge is made on behalf of those charities of £5 per adult.
